Motion Graphics Course Description

This course introduces students to the creative and technical foundations of motion graphics. Topics include:

• Principles of animation (timing, spacing, easing, anticipation, etc.)
• Typography and graphic design for motion
• Storyboarding and visual planning
• Layer-based animation and compositing
• Shape layers, masks, and keyframe animation
• 2.D  motion graphics
• Color, lighting, and visual style
• Rendering workflows and exporting for various platforms
• Using AI Tools

Students will complete a series of guided assignments culminating in a final motion graphics reel. The course emphasizes problem-solving, visual communication, and professional workflows used in design studios and post-production environments.
